Design Objective: Create a botanical illustration of the tulip using the infamous “Semper Augustus” tulip — which became a rare and valuable species during the mid-1600s in Amsterdam, referred to now as Tulipmania. Include secondary cutaway illustrations and diagrams to inform on the plant’s internal structure and anatomy.
